General FAQs

Do I have to be a member of a club to enter?

 No - The Wales Half Marathon is open to all club and non-club runners. 

Will there be timing chips?

Yes - Timing chips are located on your bib and must be pinned to the front of your chest.

When is the closing date for Registration?

The Closing date is normally 2 weeks prior to the event but please keep an eye on our social media and emails to confirm exact date.

Will there be drink stations on the route?

Yes - there will be a feed station every 3 miles. If you would like to carry any energy gels to keep you going, please feel free to do so, however please label your gels with your race number and dispose of them properly.

Is there a minimum age for runners?

Yes - the minimum age is 14+ years for The Wales 10k, 16+ for Half Marathon and 18+ for Full Marathon.

Is the run mainly on roads or is it multi-terrain?

The route is on fully-closed roads, with some spectacular Pembrokeshire scenery. If you'd like to view the route, please click here.

Can i Transfer, Defer or Refund My Entry?

Can I enter if I have a disability?

 Athletes with a registered disability will need to contact the race office to discuss whether the race is suitable and safe to enter.
